unable to sign - vendor name change ticket still waiting

In order to sign, I had to change my vendor name because it had a "ë" in it.

So I need a new key and I need to change the vendor name.

Because RIM want us to post for sale ASAP, I received the new key in hours.

But I am still waiting for the vendor name change!

So if someone of RIM reads this, please also consider vendor name changes as urgent, because it is also blocking me to sign my app ! And I am convinced I am not the only one (since more and more devs have the same confusion about author/copyright/vendor names).

But you don't need the same vendor name to sign your application. It need to be the same as company name used in form to buy signing keys.

Well, then there's something else going wrong.

Copyright field in xml, certificate in FB 4.5 and name given while requesting the keys was the same, but still unable to sign.

BUT there was a "ë" in these names, may be that screwed it :smileyhappy:

Re: unable to sign - vendor name change ticket still waiting

I just succeded to sign with FB 4.5 :smileyhappy:

I had to delete the p12 file, the old key, order a new one with a name without any special characters, recreate both certificates into FB and register it with the new CSJ.

I also manually entered the copyright tag into "myapp-app.xml" and then exported to a validated version.

Only took me 4 days to figure it out...
