what is to consider when exporting blackberry tablet release build?

hi,

i think im finally really close tu submitting my app Smiley Happy

im working with this tutorial:
http://docs.blackberry.com/zh-tw/developers/deliverables/23959/Configure_app_signing_FB401_1473166_1...

i am now able to export my app, but:
 - will everything be in the .bar file? or do i have to .zip it together with the images?

i am really afraid of submitting my app without working images -.-

For all my apps, I have simply send the .bar file, as it includes everything you need within it.

You can check by opening it with winrar, and checking that all your images are inside the respective folders. It's really straight forward, and a bar file is nothing more then a compressed file (like a zip or rar)

Hope this helps you.

Cheers

Re: what is to consider when exporting blackberry tablet release build?

thanks for your help

but i still cant tell if it works, because i get an error if i want to release it.

"manifest error:  Invalid value '1.0.0.0' for Application-Requires-System."

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Tablet-OS-SDK-for-Adobe-AIR/manifest-error-Invalid-value-1-0-...

in this thread it says i have to use the FB SDK for the release. if i do that FB doesnt know the qnx imports like labelbutton, alertdialog etc.

You certainly need to use the blackberry air SDK not the flex sdk

Re: what is to consider when exporting blackberry tablet release build?

As thesmileman said, I would always recommend - after building your bar and signing everything - use the blackberry-deploy function to deploy your application to the emulator and make sure everything works.

If this deploy works properly then everything is set up correctly.

Re: what is to consider when exporting blackberry tablet release build?

my version number is 1.0 in the .xml

does that have to do anything with FB not accepting the imports?

Re: what is to consider when exporting blackberry tablet release build?

Are you talking about the versionNumber in the -app.xml file?  If so, that should have nothing to do with imports in the AS files.

but what can i do to make FB understand? Smiley Very Happy

i still got 3 days left, but i am afraid somethings not working in the end and time runs out...

btw. if i send off my app on time, but RIM demands editions or something, does it still count? i'm quite confident in my app, but still 'nervous'

Solution:

i could just use the tablet 9.4 sdk Smiley Happy
