Android apps not running on playbook

I have done a security wipe(3 times) and i can't get the android apps to work. They seem to install as I can see the icons on playbook but nothing happens when I click on them. Neither the ones I downloaded reinstalled Appworld nor the ones I sideloaded work. They worked fine before the security wipe.

I'm running os version 2.1.0.560.

Can some one help.

Thanks in advance.

Joseph

Re: Android apps not running on playbook

Rather than a security wipe, you need to try a debrick.

Turn off the PlayBook and plug it into a computer that's running BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
When the PlayBook starts up, Desktop Manager will ask to upgrade the PlayBook as it cannot communicate with it.
Press the upgrade button and the PlayBook will be completely wiped and reinstall. This should fix the BlackBerry Android Player for you.

josci, I would also advise that you remove what appears to be your phone number from your profile here, shown under your name at the left of this page. Posting your phone number on a public forum like this is not wise.
