Customize BB10 features via android code

[ Edited ]

We ported an Android App to BB10. Now, we need to manipulate BB10 specific elements such as the bottom bar shown on the image below. For example how can we hide/show the bottom bar or hide info button on the bottom bar via android java code? Is there any resource that we can find those changes that can be made via android code?

We have the same problem...Were you able to hide it?

Re: Customize BB10 features via android code

As far as I know, an Android app is not able to close that bar. I guess that almost every Android app wants control over this (at least I also want to do this). But I guess that at this stage, it is impossible to have control over it.

A like is always appreciated,
but a nomination for BB Elite even more :-)

I've got a response from support:

Hello,

Unfortunatly you cannot programmatically hide the action bar today. As we move to Jelly Bean, which has a better concept of an action bar, we will look to better our default behaviours.

No fiksik, we decided to go with it.
