Hello All, I have ported an Android app to BB10 successfully, but the only issue I am getting is error in live streaming from server. I am getting MEDIA_ERROR_UNKNOWN for the Android Media Player, I tried by changing url's used but no luck. Can anyone please tell me why am I getting the error and how can I resolve the issue.
Edit: I am testing the app on BB10 Dev Alpha Simulator and I tried the live streaming url's in BB10 Simultor browser, but it gave me "Media error: This media file is of unsupported type or could not be loaded. It cannot be played."
Also please someone give me some details on how the Android Media player has support in BB10. Thanks in advance.

We do have a couple of unsupported media formats that may be causing this issue.
Here's a link to some of the unsupported APIs as well.

I have an RTSP url, which I tried playing in the default browser of Z10 and also tried to play in the app. At both the places, only audio is being heard and video isn't coming up. I got an answer from forums that it is a bug in
OS 2.3.3 and would be updated in next version 4.2.2. The link to answer is:
Can you please suggest what can be done to resolve the issue.
Is there any other network protocol or specific CODEC to be used to make live streaming work in BB10. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would suggest trying out one of our 10.2 beta builds (they include the 4.2.2 Jelly Bean runtime). I would suspect that it's resolved there.

I did not get a chance to check for live streaming in 10.2 yet. But if I want live streaming to work in Android 2.3.3 runtime itself what workaround can I look into? Is there any solution if we switch to http live streaming?
We are concerned about the feature not working for 2.3.3, which is used by most of the users. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
