i don't have any ads served on my application ( Word Prospector ) neither.
But today, I tried a podcast application named 'PoCat', and it had some adbmob ads !!
PodCat definitively is an android application.
So it is possible to have some admob ads on the Playbook...
We still need to figure how to do it...

Admob does actually work... sort of...
I created a separate AdMob key for the PlayBook version of my app. When I look at the stats in the AdMob portal, I see that requests are being registered, but the fill rate has extremely low. Here are my stats so far:
Requests: 6,826
Impression: 29
Fill Rate: 0.42%
I have seen one or two ads show up in the UI, but as the stats confirm... it is remarkably rare.
Our iOS and Android native apps have near 100% fill rates.

I just checked in Admob, and there's nothing like Playbook or RIM as an option in the Admob when you create a campaign. It's just some other factore for the push-to-all adds that's playing its part here.

My fill rate seems to go up every day, started around 5% per day, now getting 15-20%. Not great, but shows it works. I personally have never seen an ad popup, and couldn't even use the test feature, so don't know how the app looks when an app is displayed!

I've got this same problem - I saw an ad once, but otherwise I never see an ad at all
My fill rate is 17%, hmmm

Has anyone tried setting up a new app type for something other than android?
I'm wondering whether the problem is that I have an android app setup on a blackberry device, so it's only showing ads that aren't android specific

If the issue was fill rate then my house Ads would appear all the time but nothing shows.
