Re: Playbook Beta 2.1 In App Payments

I currently have an app in AppWorld that does not have inApp purchasing.

I want to add an update to the app that will include inApp purchasing.

I saw this

"Add your application to the vendor portal for the BlackBerry App World™ storefront. Don't send your application to RIM for approval, but keep it in Draft state."

How do I get my update in Draft state?  Meaning lets say I add a new version but I don't submit it for approval,

I then remove my existing app from sale.  Will this set the status to draft state?

Or do I need to upload a completely new app that contains the inApp purchasing and don't submit it for approval.

I want to avoid having to upload a completely new app just to test

Where did you see this:
"Add your application to the vendor portal for the BlackBerry App World™ storefront. Don't send your application to RIM for approval, but keep it in Draft state."?

You can upload a new version of your application, before it is submitted for approval it will be in Draft state. There should be no need to remove the existing version.

Re: Playbook Beta 2.1 In App Payments

Ok,

I will try to upload new version.

The version of my app with inApp purchase has a Restore button.

Currently its used to synchronize a user's inApp purchases back

into the app. Lets say the users installs the app no a different

phone.

When they click Restore the restore function goes out to Google P

Play determines their inApp purchases imports them into the app

and marks the inApps as Paid. I am using the Google Android

InApp Api for the Restore function. Will this function work on the

PlayBook? Basically will the Restore function automatically query

AppWorld via the Payment Service for inApp purchases the user

has paid for? If it will not work I can a query inApp purchases a

user has paid for or developer a similar feature

Re: Playbook Beta 2.1 In App Payments

The APIs will query App World for any purchases made via App World.

It is likely a good idea to try out your existing application once installed via App World to get a better understanding of the service.

Re: Playbook Beta 2.1 In App Payments

I feel I have got it.

But still have some confusion.

I have android application with IAP. I have used the package name as product id.

Now do I need to create new SKU on Vendor portal and replace product ID with SKU.

Re: Playbook Beta 2.1 In App Payments

Whenever you add an app or digital good to the vendor portal you need to specify a SKU. If you have existing Android apps with digital goods then you should only have to create similar goods in the vendor portal and create a SKU that is the same as the Item ID of your existing Android market digital goods.
