Push notifications - server side

Hi,

I'mm having problems when trying to push notifications for my Z10. The device successfuly registers for push notifications and I receive the blackberry generated registration ID as described here: http://developer.blackberry.com/android/apisupport/creating_push-enabled_android_apps.html

I am having problems though when trying to send notifications to that server.

For regular Android I was using a GCM server library https://code.google.com/p/gcm/source/browse/gcm-server/

I had to modify it so that the message is sent to BlackBerry servers i.e. https://cpXXX.pushapi.eval.blackberry.com where XXX is my CPID (Content Provider ID).

The problem is that I receive a 404 in return and don't know what's causing that... Any ideas (The same message gets sent to a regular Android device)?

Alternatively, did anyone succeed in sending pushing messages to your device and if so, could you share how the request should look like?

Many thanks,

Peter

Re: Push notifications - server side

I am also trying to get the push notification working and has the same problem of getting 404, but then I got to know that the URL I am using is incomplete and it should be as: https://cpXXXX.pushapi.eval.blackberry.com/mss/PD_pushRequest to send notification.

Now I am getting proper response as "

<response-result code="1001" desc="The request has been accepted for processing."/>" but not seeing notification on device. Trying to figure out next.
