Re: Verify APK

Absolutely--either a dialog or a message in a console would be a nice addition. Also, when a warning file is generated, a notice about where the results can be found would also be nice.

Re: Verify APK

[ Edited ]

Just doing a test android app from scratch to try to port to a useable BB 10 app in a BB10 sim.

I got this in my warning file

targetSdkVersion:impact=1:10:found=16

impact-summary: [5]=0; [4]=0; [3]=0; [2]=0; [1]=1;

Can someone explain the imact summary? or post me to some resources explaining this?

with regards to my result there,

my guess is the impact is 1 which could mean minor,

found 16 violations of impact 1 is what the first line looks like

but then in the summary it looks like there is only 1 impact 1 found.

cheers

Re: Verify APK

According to that output you only have 1 issue, which is minor.

The first line means you are compiling for API level 16. We recommend 10. This is a level 1 warning, which is low. Typically levels 1 and 2 are minor but some features may not function. In warning levels 3, 4, 5 your application may not run correctly or fail to load.

Re: Verify APK

Yes, even with a level 5 warning you can create a bar file using our command line tools and test on the simulator. Depending on what that warning is however, it may result in loss of functionality or an application crash.
