Announcing BlackBerry Pushcast Software 5.8

Product Overview

BlackBerry® Pushcast™ Software 5.8 is the next iteration and rebranded version of Chalk Pushcast Software. BlackBerry Pushcast Software facilitates media-rich training and communications and includes several components and applications that authors can use to create, manage, and send mobile content to computers or BlackBerry smartphones.

BlackBerry Pushcast Player users can view and save content on their BlackBerry® smartphones by downloading the content when they are in a wireless coverage area and open the content when they are offline.

• Notification for new content enhancements.
• The BlackBerry Pushcast Software notifies BlackBerry Pushcast Player users about new content before the content finishes downloading to the BlackBerry Pushcast Player.
• Template and macros to import user accounts into the BlackBerry Pushcast Console.
• A BlackBerry Pushcast Software administrator can use web services and macros in the BlackBerry Pushcast Software User Account Import Template for Microsoft® Excel® to import user accounts and groups from within their organization into the BlackBerry Pushcast Software.
• Content Delivery Status Report.
• The Content Delivery Status Report provides pie charts with information about the status of content that the BlackBerry Pushcast Software sent to BlackBerry Pushcast Player users.
• Enhancements to the Survey Report.
   
• Device support for BlackBerry® Device Software 5.0 or later.
