A BlackBerry® Unite!™ software update is available. This update includes new software features
and installs automatically on computers running BlackBerry Unite! software without any user
interaction.
New Features
The BlackBerry Unite! automatic software update includes the following new features:
Remote administration
The BlackBerry Unite! automatic software update introduces the ability to access key
functionality using the Unite! Administration application on the BlackBerry
smartphone. The BlackBerry Unite! automatic software update is designed to allow users to
change the email account password that BlackBerry Unite! software uses to poll
for, send, and receive email messages.
Web site filtering
The BlackBerry Unite! automatic software update is designed to allow users to restrict Internet
browsing by web address for the Unite! Browser on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Automatic messaging server configuration
The BlackBerry Unite! automatic software update is designed to automatically configure Bell®
Sympatico email accounts without requiring additional messaging server
information.
Switch browsing modes
The BlackBerry Unite! automatic software update is designed to allow the user to configure the
default browser on the BlackBerry smartphone by selecting either the Unite! Browser or the Internet
Browser as the default browser.
Note:
To start using the new features each user must reactivate their BlackBerry Smartphone that is
connected to BlackBerry Unite!
