The service that is currently being used to deliver Windows Live™ instant messages to your BlackBerry® smartphone is changing. As of October 11, 2009 you will no longer be able to use version 1.0 of Windows Live Messenger that you may currently be using.

To upgrade, please visit: www.blackberry.com/wlm/update and follow the on-screen instructions. The upgrade is available at no charge, but downloading and using the application may incur charges. Please check with your airtime service provider to determine availability and additional costs. Please note that to finalize the upgrade you will need to restart your BlackBerry smartphone. Please remember to upgrade before October 11, 2009, in order to continue sending and receiving instant messages on your BlackBerry smartphone using your Windows Live Messenger account.
