Product Overview
Twitter® for BlackBerry® smartphones is a full-featured Twitter® client that is designed to help BlackBerry smartphone users stay in touch with their contacts with an easy-to-use user interface.
Features
- Push based Direct Messages
- Twitter Direct Messages are delivered to the BlackBerry smartphone through the use of BlackBerry® push technology.
- Timelines (Stream)
- The main page of the application will be the BlackBerry smartphone user's Twitter home page “Timeline”, which provides a timeline of the Twitter users they are following, including Tweets posted by the users and replies to the user.
- Following/Followers
- Is designed to allow BlackBerry smartphone users to view, Direct Message, Unfollow and Block Twitter users who they are currently following and who are following them.
- Tweeting and Re-Tweeting
- BlackBerry smartphone users can post new Tweets,@Replies, Direct Message and Re-Tweet (forward).
- Search
- Keyword Search: Search for keywords from within the application and the search results are displayed as a Timeline. Users can view a specific Twitter user’s Timeline and save keyword searches as “Saved Searches”.
- Find and follow People (User Search): Search for other Twitter users from within the application.
- View/delete a Saved Search: Open a previously saved keyword search within the application. When opening the search, the Tweets will be updated to the most recent.<.li>
- Photos
- BlackBerry smartphone user can post a photo from within the Twitter application, or directly from their BlackBerry camera or media card as part of a new Tweet. BlackBerry smartphone users can also view photos in the Timeline.
- Trending Topics
- BlackBerry smartphone users can view a list of the top 10 trending topics on Twitter, and they are able to click on a topic to bring up a Timeline.
System Requirements: BlackBerry smartphone with Internet-enabled data plan and BlackBerry® Device Software version 4.5 or later.
