Why most of the native apps support Wifi and BB data plan but just don't work on generic data plan?
Nowadays, when unlimited data plan isn't something unusual, a restriction like this is putting customers straight into iOS / Android hands.
How could anybody prefer wifi more than data packets while using apps? If there is an open spot somewhere around, I'm probably sitting on my couch and have a notebook next to me.
Is there any technical problem to let the apps work over generic data plan just like they do on iOs/Android/WM ?

What transport (WiFi, BIS, etc..) used by an app is up to the individual app developer. We have a number of connectivity APIs in 5.0 and higher that make it easy to manage and we encourage our developers to take advantage of them.
