still not showing new or updated app

battery pull, still not there

wait, still not thare

RST, still not there

wait a day, still not there

 

all my friends have the app and I dont

 

repeat above and it shows up next day as if by magic.

 

There must be a better way than this.

The extension question of this is why does it often take up to a day for app updates to get pushed to devices? And why is it that refreshing the AppWorld cache does not always force the update?

Both good questions.  I can't go into the exact technical details - but basically it has to do with the way we cache items.  We will be updating our system soon so that updates are immediate - not 24 hours.
