Contacts Inspector is a simple utility for inspecting the system's contacts, as seen from the public contacts API. It is intended for use as a diagnostic tool for development and support of applications that use the contacts API.
I wrote this application to help anyone who develops an app that interfaces with the Contacts Service on BlackBerry 10. It provides a simple out-of-band way of doing the following:
The reason I've also submitted this app to BlackBerry World, is to make it easier for end-users to install as tool to aid customer support. One big support issue on BlackBerry 10 that users are often unaware of, is that first-party and third-party apps often get a very different view of their contacts data. Whenever there is such a discrepancy, they're far more likely to blame the third-party app than the system's policy enforcement. This app provides an independent way of seeing exactly what data is publicly available.
