Nutter, you tried the reload process I posted above?

 

How were you able to remove BBM contacts if you can't get the BBM app open?

Hi J Sanders. I'm also facing the setting up error on my curve 9220. i've tried the battery removal and reboot method but that didn't work so deleted bbm and reinstalled it through the website but in the end that didn't work either. As soon as i start up the new bbm it recognizes my Blackberry ID but then it gets stuck on the setting up blue screen. So now i've reinstalled the older version. Btw i've got 7.1 OS installed on my 9220. On a side note, due to a hardware issue at company's end, they still haven't activated the Enterprise services and the internet services on my 9220, so im using wifi currently. Can this inactivation be the reason?

That's exactly the reason, I believe.

 

On your Manage Connections screen, click on the Services Status.
What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?

What is the status of the BlackBerry Enterprise  Service?

Hay Jsanders I'm relly getting annoyed of bbm v7.1.23 not working for 3 days its only open blue screen and say setting up !!! And I tried to download v.6 my picture don't Chang at all am really tired isn't there any slouching ?

i just download and install it... BUT.. unfortunately.. my bbm shows nothing, except this f*****g blue screen, saying Welcome to Blackberry Messenger. its been like this for 3 days.!! 

 

and i cannot do anything about it. it wont shows any reaction, whether i touch the bbm icon and so on.!!

 

can someone please tell me what is going on with this new updates??

and if its not working.. please dont remind us to upgrade our bbm.!!!!

Hi all I was having the same problem with the bbm not working and now it's worke very good

This is what I did : I disconnect my subscription with blackBarry Service and then l stay like this for 2 days and then reconnect blackebarry Service and everything start to worke very good XD bbm v 7.1.23 and the pictur change so normal now I have no problem at all :smileyhappy:

Note : my service is monthly that's why I disconnected to try
