Re: Feature Requests for BlackBerry10 OS

Yep, I got that too. I'm not saying any of this is a waste of time. Obviously forums like these are invaluable to users needing help or just voicing opinions/concerns/ideas. In the case of an individual post where many people contribute their ideas, it would simply be great knowing that such ideas might be seen by those who can make them reality.

Re: Feature Requests for BlackBerry10 OS

I think one thing that should be mandatory on a "Next generation mobile computing platform" such as BB10 (especially if being ported to the PlayBook) is a network file browser.

I know there are third party apps that let you do this, but they require some host software to be installed on the desktop PC you're trying to access.

I'd love it if the Z10 and OS10PlayBook would let me browse to any one of my 3 PCs at home and access files.

Ghost Commander lets you access network shares without additional software.

It's a bit small and fiddly on the Z10, plus it's an Android app.

Something built into the OS would be better and integrate nicely with the whole "flow" experience.

Re: Feature Requests for BlackBerry10 OS

I agree with wanting something baked in - just pointing out that there IS something that ticks the boxes that you wanted.

Annoyingly, this is available on BES10.

Re: Feature Requests for BlackBerry10 OS

how about the ability to save video files from websites (eg, facebook). on my old BB9900 i could save the files via wi-fi then view them later away from home, now with the Z10 i can only play and no save option.............or is it me?

Re: Feature Requests for BlackBerry10 OS

I don't know about from Facebook, but I can save video files from other sites I've visited.

Re: Feature Requests for BlackBerry10 OS - Larger Battery Icon

Design an new icon for the main screen battery icon.  This should take about 10 minutes.  And this time, use more that 25 pixels!  You have lots of pixel real estate, even horizontally, so use at least 100, so we can see more information about battery level than three barely visible bars.  Have one of your more creative graphics people come up with something new!
