Frequent disconnection for BlackBerry Messenger service (Z10)

Hi Team,

 

I am a Network Engineer and supporting one of the ISP.
Some of our users (most of the users are Z10) are facing frequent disconnection for BlackBerry messenger. BBM is disconnected every after 5 to 10 min.
BBM service is running over CG-NAT, and when I cross verify the port I observed BBM running on port no 53180. Pls confirm the same. Also requesting you to share the port details which we need to open in our network to provide better service to our BBM users.

Greeting !!!

 

We are doing NATting on router, and not blocking any port or IP prefixes on router. We have received complements only for Z10 handsets. Suspecting we need to allow BBM port in NAT alg (application layer gateway) in alg set. Requesting you to share the port number which are user for BlackBerry Messenger.

 

Traffic flow is as below,

 

BB Z10 user -> GGSN -> core switch -> Router (doing NATting on router) -> Internet service provider -> internet cloud -> RIM network.
