How to play .m4a files?

I have lossless .m4a files in my iTunes library. Files can be synchronized to z10. However, music player does not see them. Tried running files from browser, got "Error: file have unsupported content".

In blackberry specs .m4a is listed as supported file format. What am I missing?

Re: How to play .m4a files?

found this: "itunes uses that m4a format so other players can not use it." Is that right? Do not really want to rip my cds again but is there any other option?

Re: How to play .m4a files?

Use Skysoft iMedia Converter for the new m4a files and convert to mp3.

Since a couple of years, Apple made it possible to convert these files.
