Re: Speed dials

Hi elitewin,

Add a number to your speed dial list

  1. To add a number to your speed dial list, tap Calls or Contacts.
  2. Touch and hold a contact or phone number.
  3. Tap Add to Speed Dial.

Re: Speed dials

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, but have tried this and cannot find speed dial list. There is nothing to add speed dial.

Think this needs Blackberry to sort out. Very annoying not to have as I dial only a few people regularly.

Regards

Rob

Re: Speed dials

you can set some phones to the favourite.
go to the phone app, then in the contacts tab, choose the contact, tap & hold the phone number, a menu will open to the right with a star in it. Click the star and the phone will be made a favourite.

Now the contact is at the top of the phone app screen.

Re: Speed dials

Thanks !

The speed dials work as favourites, not as previously in the dial pad no's 2 - 9.

They then appear at the top of 'phone' as a one touch icon.

This may help others.

Many thanks

Rob

Re: Speed dials

it's better than speed dials !
I don't remember where but I read that statistically, 99% of phone users in the USA (landline and mobile) never phone more than 5 people.

Re: Speed dials

I have added 9 contacts into speed dial but only my vm and first 3 contacts show up at the top of the screen. How do I scroll to select other speed dials?

Re: Speed dials

Nvm. I worked it out. I was adding the person, not the phone number. They were getting added to my favorites instead. I only had 3 speed dials, the rest were favorites. Nice extra feature now that I know about it.

Re: Speed dials

I found that the new speed dial (or favorites) has one or two problems.

1) you can't select which telephone number to use on the speed dial. So it is not a one touch operation?

2) if you add more than 8 or 9 contacts, I am unable to scroll

Re: Speed dials

1) favorites and speed dial are two separate things, favorites is contacts, speed dial is only for individual numbers. One number (not one contact) in each speed dial location.
2) there are only 9 spaces for speed dial. They all show on your screen, no scrolling.
