US Verizon blackberry and working overseas

My current 88xx blackberry has tri-band support and I can check and send email when I travel overseas. Does the Z10 offer the ability to function as an email and text device in countries such as India. Will the Q10 with the hardware keyboard be any different in this function?

Do I need an unlocked blackberry for any of this and do ATT and Verizon offer unlocked versions? For how much?

My carrier is Verizon Wireless.

Re: US Verizon blackberry and working overseas

Hey gxbaxter,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for the question.

The BlackBerry Z10 is a world phone, however contact your network service provider for the supported bands on their network and roaming coverage area worldwide.

Let me know if you have any more questions.
