Hey guys,
it would be great to have an official answer from RIM. Can we trade up more than one Dev Alpha?
There was a lot of discussion about this but nothing official, so I think it would be good to know the correct and official answer.
Cheers!

If you read terms and conditions of trade, you will find there that you can trade just one Dev Alpha per developer. I believe that two accounts at AppWorld could solve this but not sure how much it is legal.

I don't see no reasons why we would be constrainted on trade up for just one device. After all, if somebody have two or more DevAlphas he won them on portathons, or by attending BB Jams. If RIM allocate enough LE devices (same or more as num of DevAlphas) , it would be fair to allow developers to trade up every DevAlpha they have. If that is not allowed, what would developer do with bricked Alphas?

Developers have to return them. They are property of RIM.

@thubalek
I've read the T&C but there was an different answer from Mel17:

You can submit as many applications for as many Dev Alpha devices you have. Basically this is 1 app to 1 PIN.

So I am not sure about the official answer...

It is not issue with returns of Alphas, it is issue with rewarding the developers. If somebody has two Alphas he certainly get them by supporting BB10 and RIM, and that should be rewarded by allowing developer to tradeup every Alpha it has.

I was told by a RIM employee that it's 1 device per person.
Who told you this?
On Page 1 of this thread "Mel17" told us that its:
one devAlpha = one limited edition device

I didn't notice that Mel was the one who said that I know she works at RIM.
I'm not going to say exactly who said because it was in a private conversation but it was one of the hosts from the Port-A-Thon so I assume she knows what she is talking about.
The other thing that leads me to believe it's 1Dev = 1Device is that I had applied for two on the Trade-Up page and only recieved an email for one(Not sure which one as it doesn't say the PIN), but I only got one mailing sticker.
I emailed the attached email for the Trade-Up program and am still waiting for a responce(been a while), so if they do reply I will post what is said here.
