Re: Dev Alpha C will be disabled ?? or we have to return it ?

@mikefromcanada did this happen when you updated using the autoloader, or was it an OTA update?

Getting back to the original question, BlackBerry have not yet set any return date for the Dev Alpha C, so we at least might be able to use it more than 2 months.

Happened using the autoloader. Tried re-inserting the micro-sim, didn't help.

@mikefromcanada I understand your problem then. But you could at least make the best of it while you have it (if you have it already, still waiting myself)

How can I make the best of it? It won't turn on. It won't do anything.

Re: Dev Alpha C will be disabled ?? or we have to return it ?

Owh, sorry, was apparently missing some part of your story :smileyfrustrated: I was just reading your last post and I thought you were talking about the device in the future (as if what would happen after it would be disabled in the future). Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I haven't received my DAC, so I don't even have a device to test for Q10. So I feel your pain. I don't think that the DAC's should be disabled at this moment, because some of use haven't even received one. And receiving a disabled device is both stupid and useless.
I hope your problem will be solved soon!

Re: Dev Alpha C will be disabled ?? or we have to return it ?

No worries. I'm sure it's just a mistake that mine is disabled, but I'd really like to get this resolved and get testing. Gotta be first to market with my app if I hope to make any $ off it.

Did you try to wipe your device and reinstall with sachup ? I haven't receive mine so I can't try but maybe it can work.

Re: Dev Alpha C will be disabled ?? or we have to return it ?

Update on this problem:

My problem has been resolved, but it took a device replacement to solve it.
I'll be shipping the faulty device back to BB, so hopefully they can figure out what went wrong and prevent it for other developers.
