Re: Dev Alpha C will be disabled ?? or we have to return it ?

Got home and rebooted the DAC. I didn't get any expiration notice. The OS version is 10.1.0.138. You might want to try to downgrade to that?

There's no downgrade available. The only autoloader is the one on the dev site.

Re: Dev Alpha C will be disabled ?? or we have to return it ?

I never had a chance for an over-the-air update on the Dev Alpha C. I had to update using the autoloader.

I did that this problem with the Dev Alpha A, as did a lot of people. A few attempts at a cold boot fixed it. I didn't have to reload any OS update to get it working, as I recall.

Yes, it doesn't seem like the same problem as the Dev A. I sat here rebooting it constantly for about an hour, and not once did it pass the lockout.

That's too bad. I hope someone from BlackBerry can help you soon with that. It makes me feel that your PIN somehow got listed in a place where it shouldn't have been listed.

Re: Dev Alpha C will be disabled ?? or we have to return it ?

Yes, I've been reaching out for support for a week and got very little help from them so far. I was told to finally expect a manager to contact me today or Monday. Either way, it's taking a very long time and making it really hard to get my apps finished for Q10 launch. Kinda leaves a bitter feeling after dedicating all my development efforts to their new platform...

Just to update, I've got ZERO response from anyone at BBRY about this. Very poor developer support.

Re: Dev Alpha C will be disabled ?? or we have to return it ?

Just wondering, why do you care so much if they will be disabled or not? In the mean time you do have a device for testing your apps on, which do no receive (for free) from for example Android or iOS.

A like is always appreciated,
but a nomination for BB Elite even more :-)

Re: Dev Alpha C will be disabled ?? or we have to return it ?

I got an idea which might work. Can you try sticking in a microSIM card (phone SIM card)? It will then make the phone want to pull in a new BIOS update. I am using T-mobile for mine (DAC) and when I start up it shows the T-mobile logo . That was how I got the over the air update for my phone.

ndsmyter, the problem is I DON'T have a device for testing my apps on because my Dev C is disabled.
