Re: DevAlpha Custom expenses

It doesn't have price tag, that's true, but in invoice which came with device, there is 550USD value. That is signal for our custom to suck your blood.

I will have the same problem, the device is now "Clearance delay - Import" via fedex.

Did you have the same status? How did they contact you?

@smartek - which country ?

Here, fedex asked me about my permission for allowing them to take care of "шпедиција" (spedition on english ?) + personal statement that explains the nature of the package, its purpose etc + copy of my identity card. As mzex said, customs are blood suckers.

It's not RIM fault, but i feel like I am discriminated just because I am not from US & Canada. We will end up paying twice for customs tax.

If that MDA limited from UK is in charge of sending devices in Europe, why didn't we receive device from them? In that case, there would be no customs expenses for us in EU.

And the real problem is - customs delays the process in order to score more money. This is not fair at all.

It doen'st matter if device is sent from EU country, I must pay no matter what.

Good news everyone, check out the Dev Blog.

"Note that RIM pays all shipping costs and duties. If you are required to pay these fees, please contact BlackBerryPlayBookOffer@tmgideas.com with the details and you will be reimbursed."

I'm in Canada and I still get custom fees. :smileyfrustrated:
