Re: Incorrect LEs sent out in EMEA region??

I can confirm that these emails are legitimate and not a scam.  The swap solves 2 problems.

  • Device you have is incorrect for the network bands in your country, preventing 4G access (and/or possibly other G levels).
  • Unable to receive OS updates because you have a device not supported by your carrier.

As to the question about switching more than 5 PINs on your BlackBerry World account, if you encounter this just email help@blackberry.com and they can reset that for you.

Re: Incorrect LEs sent out in EMEA region??

Hi Mark,

If i decide to keep because i don't need the 4G, there is always the possibility in future to update? Because you are working to make all update(s) available for all LE Users correct?

Yes, there is still a possibility.  But this is not guaranteed and may be a while yet.

Re: Incorrect LEs sent out in EMEA region??

I've just had clarification that there will not be an opportunity to swap the backs.

Mark, is there anyway we can send the entire package back (except for the back cover) then when we get the new one, swap the back covers and send the new cover back?

Or will the new ones have the same number on them?

Thanks!

Re: Incorrect LEs sent out in EMEA region??

The replacement LEs will have the same red back and also be numbered.  So you wouldn't need to swap the back.

Re: Incorrect LEs sent out in EMEA region??

But will the number be the same or different? I have quite a low number and would like to keep it if possible...
