Problems with my new Dev Alpha C, Settings doesn't work

[ Edited ]

So I just received my Dev C Alpha device, thanks.

But it's unusable.

Right away it wanted to update to 10.1.0.380, so that's done.

But after that, Settings doesn't work at all. When tapping on Settings, a brief flash appears (when the Settings app tries to start), but I just got bounced back to the home page.

I have tried to reboot, I have download the Link software to reload the software but that fails as well;

When trying to do so, I get stuck in the dialog "Checking for BlackBerry Device Software Updates".

Nothing happens.

So I now have a useless device.

Is there any way of doing a factory reset without have access to the Settings page or without Link?

Hm, ok. The BlackBerry Link software apparently doesn't care much of running inside Parallels Dekstop on a Mac.

Reloading the firmware/software from a pure Windows PC worked better.

Problem solved.
