BlackBerry 10 Limited Edition Trade-up

I am really interested in what are the specifications of the Limited Edition device and also how early would it be possible for developers to recieve it. Especially for developers like I and many others who have already sent in their Dev Alpha Devices in hopes to receive the new device as soon as possible. So that we could test on a launch product in addition to developer devices.

I don't know the exact specifications, but I would like to know them of course.

But on the time frame I can only say that they will be shipping in 6 to 8 weeks. They said that they will start shipping the devices 6-8 weeks after the launch of BB10, which was yesterday.

yea i am just so excited to get the phone cause the z10 itself is already awesome enough and with it being limited edition it just makes it 10 times better . 

on a side note i wonder what color it would be, that picture that floated around showing a purple z10 got me pretty happy, but it was later said to be photoshopped. That does make sense though since not all of us will like it to be purple. Hmm a gold one would be nice though

See I keep thinking that BlackBerry put up the "6-8" weeks mainly just for the United States region (since the BB10 comes out in march over there and we wouldn't wanna get those carrier mad ) While us folks up here in Canada get to have it on the 5th of February =D I mean the trade up program website does say that the shipping will depend on region (although that might just be the regular shipping disclaimer...)

Haha you are lucky cause I am just getting so impatient here in the states just glad that i have att and not verison so that i will be getting the LE xD well hope the 6-8 weeks was a number they just threw up in the air and we get a suprise email this week hehe

I was also hoping that the "6-8 weeks after launch of BB10" would be just to make sure nobody starts complaining. It would be really nice if we would receive the LE much sooner.

But I still think they will start shipping the LEs around the same all over the world. So I guess we'll still have to wait for US.

Anyway, what is 8 weeks in a human life :-) You can enjoy the phone for the rest of your life after those 8 weeks.

I read on the forums that those who asked reps at the launch event that the LE Device will be reviewed this week presumably at the Amsterdam event
