AFAIK You can't trade Dev Alpha for Android app.

Interesting. Alex Kinsella said its okay in a posting on the devblog website on the trade up so I'm trying to confirm it. I do know they are not eligble for the built for BlackBerry program though.

The dev alpha that I received is registered to my official mail Id, whereas the app world account is on my personal email Id.

Can I still submit the apps through the personal email Id and become eligble for Limited Edition Trade Up?

I don't have any links to confirm that android apps are eligble for the trade up. I personally submitted an android app and got approved.
Hello, yes. I registered to app world via my Personal email, then later on added my Official email Id. There is a feature you can use through the vendor portal, I applied for the Lim. Ed via my official and still got it, whereas my Dev Alpha is registered under my official as well.

i do understand that you also had 2 different email ids

To elaborate more on my case:
1. Dev Alpha - was received on my official email id
2. Vendor Portal account - on my personal email id

a) Can I submit the application for Limited edition device, and the communication/Notifications that happen between me and RIM, take place on my personal email Id
b)I might leave the current organization, so, not sure, how long will be able to keep checking the official Id, thus would be great, to have it on my personal email id.

OR

is it that since Dev Alpha is on offical mail ID there's is no point is submitting for the Limited Edition - since the Vendor Portal email id is different and doesn't have the information linked up about me being a recipient and thus fail to qualify.

would appreciate if someone from RIM can comment on it too.
