So I followed the procedure;
Today however I receive an email from Ruth Whelan <Ruth.Whelan@mdalimited.co.uk> who says:
Good Morning,
I have been informed that you have a Blackberry Dev Alpha Device that needs to be collected. Please would you provide the following information so that I may organise my transport company to collect.
Many Thanks
Please can someone from RIM outline what is the correct procedure for returning the LTE - is this a scam email!? Why did I get an email saying UPS will pickup the parcel and now another from another company? Who should be taking the device?
I might add that if they are supposed to pick up my dev alpha they are 3 weeks overdue! Bit late to respond to a pick up request!

Hello,
As I written today in response to someone question, MDA Limites is responsible for shipping RIM devices in Europe. When I had problem with my Dev Alpha I got replacment from RIM, whole procedure was coordinated by MDA (sending back bricked Dev Alpha) and receiveing new one. Ruth Whelan was contact person during this operation. So you should just ask him, maybe he got not accurate data after first unsuccessful picking up by UPS.

okay but the strange thing is, that I got this mail today after I send back my dev alpha and it arrived and I also get the "Warehouse Arrival Notification"

Exactly AND I'd still prefer a response from RIM. Thanks for your input though they look legit as a company but why the email 3 weeks late!!

MDA is the warehouse in the UK that is handling the returns of the Dev Alpha devices and will also be shipping out the Limited Edition device once they are available.
This is part of the process.

So who gets the device? UPS or MDA?

MDA is doing all the pickups that don't qualify for UPS, so in this case it would be MDA.

Why doesn't it qualify? I have a UPS tracking code and they are picking up tomorrow - I have confirmation from them with booking reference...
