And I agree, using the full OS really helps understand how things work and how to better design apps.
I can understand why this wasn't possible pre-BB10 launch, but nowm they have an opportunity to turn us into ambassadors. SE of the Z10 should have been made available at launch. There is nothing better to really show people what it's about. Dummy devices on a shop shelf does nothing.

If you don't have the 10.1.0.1485 release on your DAC yet, you can find more information on how to update here: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackberry-10-dev-devices-f270/upgrade-developers-1485-os-devc-stl100-2...

And as mentioned, this makes the DAC fully functional :-)

I really don't understand why this ROM is not released officially for dev devices. It's like on Android, unofficial ROMs.

Anyway thanks fur tip.

Unfortunately I already upgraded to latest official developer ROM.

I also agree on to have the full OS on these Dev devices. Seeing everything as your costumers will see it is really important as a developer. We cannot test out Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn stuff. We can't even run these apps on our devices. Not to mention that you could understand more how the device works by seeing as many native apps as possible.

Making the device not as fancy as the final product is I think perfectly enough and they should not limit the OS as well.
