Blackberry Q10 and Q5 Email account invalid problems and continuous requests for passwords

My wife and i use a Q10 and a Q5 respectively.

Both are set up to receive email from AOL accounts.

Problem is once set up.. the not connected account invalid warning comes up at least 4 times a day.

We both then have to put in our different passwords to get the system working again

couple of hours later the same thing happens again.

Im suspicious that requesting our passwords constantly is a scam.

Any ideas what to do?

It's not a scam. It's a glitch either in the data network not recognizing your connection to the AOL mail servers, or the device itself "forgetting" your password.

 

Try this, it's helped others.

 

  1. From your Settings > Accounts, tap the errant email account and delete it from your device.
  2. Reboot: On the side edge volume keys, press and hold down both of the Up and Down volume keys for about 20 seconds, ignoring the initial screenshot message... the screen will go black and reboot.
  3. Now, return to the Settings > Accounts, and set up the AOL account again.

Hi and thanks for your solution. Unfortunately a couple of hours after deleting rebooting and reinstalling.. Same happened again requesting password Any ideas anybody? Paul
