Hi guys

So I had to do a restore to factory settings on my Q10 but it seems to have wiped some basic apps like music player, gallery, calculator, clock. How can I get these back?

Thanks

Sam

Re: Lost basic apps after restore - help?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I cannot tell, from your words, exactly what process you conducted...I don't believe that, with BB10, there is any such command for "restore to factory settings". In any event, whatever you did has wiped out some of your core apps...and a clean OS reload would be the method to resolve that. Refer:

Good luck!

Sorry yes that's what I meant; I've done the 'reload device software' using BlackBerry link - that's what wiped out my apps (the standard apps, I knew any additional ones would be wiped).

That's very strange, I've never before heard of what you describe. I would recommend then you try the following:

 1. On Device WIPE
 2. OS Reload via LINK
 3. On Device WIPE

Now see if all that should be there still is. If not, then consider using an AutoLoader instead of LINK in the process:

Good luck and let us know!
