Updating to 10.2.0.429

Hello, I have BB Z10, i'm getting messages to update to the new version 10.2.0.429, did anyone try it already? Is it causing any problem? Is there something new with this update? Thank you for sharing your experience :smileyhappy:

Re: Updating to 10.2.0.429

To my knowledge, there is no major problems with the new update. The update is just to fix a couple things here and there, you won't notice a difference. No new features have been added to 10.2.0.429 either.

Many people are having problems but millions are not, it is your choice.

I have been doing a private poll and find that the ones with problems have too many Apps of all kinds including Android, too many saved SMS, too many music and picture files and the list goes on.

Many of those items are un-needed or un-wanted and obsolete and could cause problems when updating.

A good clean-up before updating then power off then power on then update will not hurt and could result in less or no issues.

@fyip

You bring up a good point that there are some people with problems, but the majority are not having any problems. There are some apps that end up having problems with the update but you might be lucky and not have any problems. It's sadly the luck of the draw.

You talking about 10.2.1.1055?

I'm running that on my z10 and I love it, no issues for me with that release.

Re: Updating to 10.2.0.429

yes before then I switched to 10.2.0.429 and still no good, my battery meter is off sync, battery meter reading is 76% but after a while the phone shuts down and you can only turn it on by plugging the charger, then after which the battery indicator will say that its running out of batter, after a few minutes the phone will boot up and says that the battery is 76% still.

Re: Updating to 10.2.0.429

Verizon has 10.2.1.537 and it does not appear to be ready for release. I should not have upgraded. To paraphrase: the buggy software you know is better than the buggy software that you don't know.
