Wi-Fi connection limited after 10.2 update (Z10)

[ Edited ]

Hi all,

strange,  just after update no wifi is capable of working not home , nor in office.

Pinging gateway gives Communication prohibited MSG.

Already tried:

0, Wifi OFF then ON

1, device restart

2, delete saved wifi, device restart, reconnect

3, AP restart (assuming works ok)

STL100-2, 10.2.424

anywhere else?

If the Enable IPV6 is set to ON then the Wifi icon appears on the home screen with the small BB icon showing that this is used as BB connection, but still host resolving not works an it is unsure that the device will have internet connectivity. Browser still not loads any web page.. Smiley Sad

If you had no problems with the previous OS then you can reload it.

Not much people reporting with this issue.

Re: Wi-Fi connection limited after 10.2 update (Z10)

reloading might be a good idea,
over here quite a lot people have the same issue after updating.
could be a coincidence?
anyway how many report is needed to take this issue serious?

Problem is same on Q10 but I think it is independent from 10.2 update because it had worked with 10.2 before.

Re: Wi-Fi connection limited after 10.2 update (Z10)

If I switch off the mobile data, the wifi is working fine. Switching on the mobile data, wifi is gone.

If I set the wifi settings to fix IP it's working fine, back to DHCP the connection is lost.

Re: Wi-Fi connection limited after 10.2 update (Z10)

The same happened to me after the latest update. The phone indicates limited wi-fi connection. I've tried several times to reboot the device and the wifi router as well.

If I turn off the mobile data services then it starts to work, as well as by entering manually the IP address (Z10 / STL100-2).
