after. 273 update, hub is useless!!!

Since I've updated to...273, hub doesn't work, I can't get notifications, after many fully restarts sometimes I get a couple of notifications but they remain marked as unread and I can't mark them as read or delete them or anything! The worst part is not only the hub is not working and I'm not getting notifications, I'm also not getting anything at all: SMS, MMS, emails, facebook notifications... actually I'm only getting phone calls!!! Anyone elsr is having the same issues? I'm in Portugal and my carrier is TMN. Godh, I'm sooo maaaddd!!! :smileysad:

mariadoceu, sorry you're having issues... how long has it been since the upgrade?

A few hours is needed to sync all the data, the accounts, emails, and contacts. It can leave the Hub somewhat disorganized and useless for a while.

 

Have you performed a simple restart on the Z10... touch the top edge button for a couple seconds then restart?

Thanks for your reply.
It's been a few days now, almost a week, it should be fine by now. I've been fully restarting, over and over, to force notifications updates but it is almost useless. Plus, like I said before, I'm not getting notifications and I'm not getting sms and emails, the real messages and not only their notifications! My Z10 is an STL 100-2 model. If only I could get back to previous version, 0.90... 273 sucks and both versions are battery killers, so I guess I was better off before... :smileysad:

Have you called your TMN mobile provider about this issue? I would suggest that.

 

Otherwise I think you need to backup your device using Link, and wipe and reload.

Hi, again!
Thanks! I tried everything and when I was just about to ask for your help to guide me through the wipe and reload, I found out a tip on how to do a hub-only restart - that 4 x swip thing - and it kinda works... have to keep doing it all the time but beats restarting the whole phone... I'm really hoping for a new update soon, until then I'll just keep on doing hob restarts over and over again... :/

That five swipe thing... not four.

 

I don't know of another solution for you. Have you called TMN?

Actually, it's really 4. It seems for some phones it takes 5 swipes and for others it takes only 4.
I called TMN but they weren't able to help me.

I've yet to see one where only four swipes work.

 

call MTN and get the issue escalated up to BlackBerry Technical Support.
