Ever since I updated my z10 to 10.2.1.537 I am not able to open any images which are sent as attachments in messages, whatsapp and not even through device manager. When I click on the image the screen becomes a little dim and then restores back but the image never shows up. Only thru pictures m able to view photos nd from nowhere else :smileysad: plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz suggest a solution

Try a reboot first... Press and hold the upper edge power button about 20-30 seconds, ignore the 3-2-1 timer and hold until the screen goes black and you see the red LED.

I have tried it Sanders but did not work :smileysad:
I have also tried battery pull out...no use...
Hoping to get the bug fixed, I have again upgraded the OS to the next 10.2.1.2102 version. Still the issue persists!!!

Well, there is a setting to view images embedded in emails, but that's not your problem, you're not able to view any attached image in any application.

Can you view an image saved to the device, such as in your Pictures application?

What's your signal indicator, 4G, 3G, or what? at top right of home screen?

As for the signal indicator I use a wife so I get that wife signal symbol(with full strength) nd a blackberry logo.

The behavior is consistent and independent of data provider i.e either carrier network or wifi. I feel it's a bug but wonder how others are not getting it :smileysad:

Re: images not opening after 10.2.1.537 OS update

Not many at it seems, as much as I monitor this forum and others, I don't see it as a big issue across many users.

So, with WiFi turned OFF, and using only the mobile network data, still no images open?

Ok, so with your WiFi off, what is your mobile network signal indicator?

does "nd" mean "and"? You're making this difficult for me to understand.

Please answer this:

  • Turn off your WiFi.
  • What is the network signal indicator at top left of the home screen?
  • Do you see the BlackBerry logo next to the mobile network signal also, on the same line?
