Email sending problem with Z10?

I have many business email addresses set up on my Z10. One of my accounts will happily receive emails but when I try to send I get the message 'Message Status: Protocol layer was unable to send a message'

Can anyone tell me what this could be? I have checked my settings and I appear to be replicating the successful settings in Outlook and on my PlayBook.

Thanks.

Re: Email sending problem with Z10?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Here is a KB that discusses that error:

  • KB33736 "Protocol layer was unable to send a message" when replying to an email on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone
  • KB34009"MessageStatus: Protocol layer was unable to send a message" is displayed when sending email with an attachment on a BlackBerry 10 smartphone

Hopefully it contains something useful! There also are multiple existing threads on this site that discuss that exact error...your review of those might prove useful, and a search of this site, using the error message, error code, or symptom, should reveal all applicable existing threads to you.

Good luck and let us know!
