Software Update 10.1.0.238

Everytime I connect my Q10 to my laptop via Blackberry Link it want to install OS update 10.1.0.238 on my Q10. My Q10 shows the updated OS version is already installed but Link keeps giving me the message it is available. This has happened 4 times now.

Re: Software Update 10.1.0.238

Well, it actually is NOT normal.

The reason is likely you are deleting some core application (Facebook, twitter or a carrier pushed application) on your BlackBerry, and then Link wants to reinstall it.

Does that sound familar?

Re: Software Update 10.1.0.238

hi,

i have the same Problem.

Yes i deleted apps like yahoo or google messenger...but they dont come back after the update. And i did not delete any carrier pushed applications.

The Update request is there everytime i connect my Q10 to BB Link.

if i start the update process in the settings from my Q10 it says that the device is up to date.

any ideas??

Re: Software Update 10.1.0.238

chile3000, are you sure that's not a Link update? It, too, was updated recently.

Re: Software Update 10.1.0.238

Yes i am very sure its not a link update...

everytime i start the update process it restarts my bb and states that the update was successful. if i unplug and replug it, the message comes again...update available etc...

its not really anoying but i would prefer if this message will not show up again...

thanks for help.
