Z10 plays one downloaded avi video but gives me an error on the second download

Good Day;

I had downloaded 2 x avi video files from an internet site. This was a video whereby I had to download in 2 parts. The first .avi video plays gave an error of "The file can't be played due to an unexpected error (1)". I'm not sure of what I did; but was playing around the blackberry link and the first video is playing perfectly.

The problem is that the second video still gives me the "The file can't be played due to an unexpected error (1)".

I have tried removing the battery; switching device of & on and even tried restarting.

What could be the reason for one video file to play; whilst the another similar video gives you an error message?

Please use plain text.

I don't know video file encoding. Perhaps the file was split in such a way that the second part did not include the appropriate file headers to play the file correctly.

Hopfully someone else can comment on this.

hello VJBK,

look on the internet for a tool named "GSpot Appliance". Launch it on your PC for both files, and give us the audio codec used as well as the video codec used.

Please give us as much information as possible, so we can understand what is the differentiating element between the two vids.
