I bought my BB 9720 about 3 months ago. At first everything was okay, but then it started calling multiple people from my contacts list (starts with one person and calls everyone who is on the list after that person), turning WiFi on (I never use WiFi on the phone), adding contacts to my contacts list and sending SMS-es to them (e.g. yesterday it added number 00 to my contacts list and sent 7 blank SMS-es to that number and called it couple of times), turning on the camera and entering the photobook and just open some old pictures, going on the internet and I'm not even sure I've listed everything it does....
I don't know what to do. And all of that mostly happens when the phone is in my pocket so I have no idea that's happening untill I look at the phone. One day I caught it trying to call some weird number and imeddiately cancelled the call. But it tried to call it again and again and again and then just stopped and everything was working just fine.
I don't know what to do. I've turned off the option to unlock it with the button, only way you can unlock it is by sliding the screen but I'm not sure how it still unlocks anyway.
Help, please. I'm sick of people telling me: "Oh, you called me again." Or: "What's with these empty SMS-es?"

Update: today started calling people again so I turned off mobile network.
However, it turned it on again and WiFi too and started calling again.
I feel like I'd love to smash it into the wall.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:
It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.
If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.
But if the behavior continues in Safe Mode, then you may need to consider more drastic actions -- WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload, and the "Bare Bones" OS Reload Process. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup to your PC...please review the Backup link in my auto-sig on this post for instructions.
Good luck and let us know!
