Connection to Car Stereo

I have an ipod connection into my car stereo in my Infiniti.  I was hoping to replace my ipod with my Blackberry Storm and be able to play it through my stereo system.  Is there a cable that will fit my car connection and the Storm?

First, I don't know what type of connection your car stereo has, but as for me, I am using a simple male 3.5mm to RCA jack cable (See link below) for my car and it works wonderfully.

Your car stereo has RCA jacks on it?

Re: Connection to Car Stereo

This doen't answer the original question (I'am sure there is an ipod to 3.5mm adapter out there someplace).

My car doesn't have any connections but I use an FM Transmitter like this:

It works great and plugs into the 3.5mm jack on my Storm. It's powered by the cigarette lighter.

Re: Connection to Car Stereo

yes, it's possible to connect a BB storm with the car audio, I just did it today.  I used the same 3.5mm plug I had used with my palm (I've never had an ipod), male to male I think.  I think I got it at Radio Shack, years ago.

Here you go:

I just Googled "ipod to 3.5mm adapter" and got a long list. This is just one of them.

I don't know if that connection charged your ipod but the adapter won't charge your Storm through the 3.5mm jack. Get a cigarette lighter charger for the Storm separatly to charge.

Oh, or check the "Ipod Dock Line Out Adapter" at the bottom right the link page below and then connect the two with a 3.5mm male to male cord.

Re: Connection to Car Stereo - BLUETOOTH?

Would it not be great to just hook up via bluetooth!

Re: Connection to Car Stereo - BLUETOOTH?

My car is hardwired with a cable from my sereo to an IPOD adapter. Instead of connecting to the 3.5mm jack I'd like to connect to the Micro USB on the Storm. I assume this would charge the Storm as well as play music.

Re: Connection to Car Stereo - BLUETOOTH?

Blue tooth connection for music and phone calls is possible with the Jabra SP 700 BT Speakerphone.  Play your Storm music through your FM radio and hear your phone calls through the stero as well!
