So, I'm new to putting ads in an app, and put it in one app to test the waters....but my impression (get it?
) was that a decent eCPM was more than ZERO DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS.
Can someone at BlackBerry please explain to me why i have a zero eCPM??! Is there anyone else using banners in Cascades that is seeing revenue? Here's the stats for this month so far:
4,082 requests
3,987 impressions
97.67% Fill Rate
87 clicks
2.18% CTR
$0.00 eCPM *
1 applications
Revenue: $0.00 *
I'm not expecting miracles for just a few thousand impressions....but it should be more than ZERO should it not?

You don't have the test flag set to "true" do you?
If not you may want to send an email with your details to advertisingservice@blackberry.com.

Do you mean the test zone id?

Nope, if you used the test zone ID you wouldn't see any of these stats in your portal. The service Banner has a flag that can be set for test purposes, if not explicitly set by you then you should be ok, which will result in nothing getting paid.

Yeah, there is definitely no test flag that i've set. I guess i contact them there.

Thanks again for the info!
I have spoken with our Advertising team and found the reason for this behavior; currently BlackBerry 10 is still a very new platform, so advertiser interest is in its beginning stages. What BlackBerry has done while advertising fill gets ramped is to provide a “house ad” for any request which would not normally receive fill. So the BlackBerry ads are expected at this time and should have no impact on revenues as they will only be provided when no ad fill is available through the advertising networks. As more advertising becomes available you will see the number of house ads scale back accordingly.
Let me know if you have any questions.
