Help with BlackBerry Advertising Service on BB10OS [WEBWORKS]

Hi all, I'm trying to put some ads on my aplication and i cant figure out whats going on.

I have already registered on the ad service, here is my first problem, i cannot find ZoneID. I read that it will arrive via email but not, an also it can be founded in the app panel but only says if it active pending or declin, not CODE as it should.

After that, i decided to try with testID wich it is provided with the SDK an also the banner is not shown. So i checked up again for the features in the config.xml and i hace exactly this:

<access subdomains="true" uri="http://www.blackberry.com/">
	<feature  id="blackberry.advertising" required="true" version="1.0.0"/>
	</access>
<access subdomains="false" uri="*"/>

 when compiling i got the error message that said this:

[WARN]    Failed to find feature with id: blackberry.advertising

i have downloaded the ads SDK and copy the blackberry.advertising folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry 10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.4.11\

I have algo try to paste it on C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry 10 WebWorks SDK 1.0.4.11\Framework\ext\ but i get the error that manifst.json not found

So that what i have try so far, any clue what is going on?

Thanks.

Re: Help with BlackBerry Advertising Service on BB10OS [WEBWORKS]

The library you're trying to use is for BBOS, Advertising Services are not currently officially supported in BlackBerry 10.

Re: Help with BlackBerry Advertising Service on BB10OS [WEBWORKS]

The beauty of WebWorks is that you can use any service that provides HTML5-based ads, which is most of them. I can't recommend any myself, but some folks in the forum may have had experience using some services they could recommend.

What do u mean by not supported, This is the email i got Currently Webworks is only supported for the BB Smartphone (6.0 and beyond). Email us feedback at AdvertisingService@BlackBerry.com.

What does that mean ? How do u think the devleopers are going to make money ??

Re: Help with BlackBerry Advertising Service on BB10OS [WEBWORKS]

It is supported in BlackBerry OS 6-7.1, but 10 is an entirely new OS and still no supported Advertising Service.

You are free to use any advertising service that provides HTML5 APIs. There is also the option to add in app payments to further monetize free apps.
