App world won't connect - irritatingly happy modal popup. - BIS

[ Edited ]

Can't see any other messages with this issue, when I try and launch App World i get the following Dialog:

'Upgrade your service to a plan that includes browsing and discover a world of possibilities at BlackBerry App World. Contact your service provider for more details'

Chirpy little message, unfortunately BlackBerry's own application is the first app that's ever been unable to connect to the network on my device! 10/10 :smileyvery-happy:

Device: Bold

OS: v4.6.0.234

Carrier: T-mobile UK

Plan: BIS

Have exactly the same problem with the same phone and t-mobile service. Technical support tried to help but were unsuccessful.

Will try again this afternoon

Shame none of the operaters know about App World... Customer service had no knowledge of it, tech guy was fairly clueless too!

This problem lies with T-Mobile, you will need to phone 150 and option 4 then 2 this will cost you 25p for the call. Ask to be put through the Technical Support and make sure that your Blackberry Browser is enabled so this will mean you now have 2 browsers t-mobile and blackberry! T-mobile support cannot activate the Blackberry Browser only T-mobile Technical Support can see this. Seems stupid but that is the case.

Hope this helps people who are having the same problem as I had they don't make it clear.

Once they activated this all applications began to work and received no such errors liek data plan required.
