I want to move MyCast Weather from my old 8900 to my new 9550 but App World will not generate a new license code and keeps suppling the old one. I have followed the procedure below which was suggested by Garmin several times and installed, re-installed, deleted, battery pulls and everything else I can think of and nothing helps. Sure would appreciate any suggestions.
User switches to a new BlackBerry:
If the user downloads App World to the new device and logs in under
their current PayPal account, you can reinstall each item individually.
Once installed, the status changes to 'Installed'. If the user had
free/trial items on the previous device, they'll have to redownload them
again.
If the status of an item appears as "Unavailable for this device", the
item is not compatible with this model of BlackBerry. If it becomes
available for this device later, the status will change to "Uninstalled"
and it can then be re-installed.
The License Key will be different for the new device because the PIN on
the device is different. The new key can be found in App World by
choosing My-Cast Weather from the My World tab.

I should mention that the 9550 is running OS 5.0.0.320 OEM from Verizon.
Tried all your suggestions with no luck. No app files encountered anywhere on device. In MyWorld, app shows up as Uninstalled and when i select it there is no option in BB menu to delete it so I am unable to do anything other than to re-install it which I have tried several times before. It does show the old 8900 License Code when I click on it so the new PIN is not being registered properly. Also under Options>Applications it does not show up.
I have a feeling that App World is not dealing with the new PIN correctly because of some bug in it or in the new OS Ver 5.0.
Any more ideas like how to get it removed from my PayPal account and then added back after the new pin is recognized.

"Removed from your paypal account"? What, exactly, are you seeking...a credit? If so, that's done via this portal:
Your inquiry needs to be sent as follows. Go to this URL:
and fill out the form. Use, in the "Please select a component:" field, the AppWorld Billing/Payment selection. Any other selection will simply route you back anonymously to these public forums. If you don't have an "Order Number" for that field, just use anything (e.g., "123456").
If the form responds telling you that your PIN is invalid, then please report that fact back here as there is a separate resolution path for that issue.

I guess what I am really seeking is a way to reset AppWorld or MyWorld within AppWorld in OS 5.0 so that it will trigger a new PIN for my existing apps that I have purchased. It looks like that cannot happen so yes, I guess I will try the credit route. But first I have a contact at Garmin. Maybe I can get them to generate a new license code for me. Probably not but I will give that a shot.

Got a new code from Garmin which worked fine. Really appreciate the good customer service from them. Hopefully RIM will correct the problem with AppWorld soon. Thanks again for the help.

Still broken as of today.
I can't get Weatherbug Elite to re-register for my Storm II from my Storm I.
I've tried everything. The license code won't re-generate.
