Blackberry BOLD 9780 with latest updates for Blackberry traffic and OS.
When program is loaded there is in red type the following message: "No GPS". This never resolves.
Attempt to use BING local search brings this result: "Waiting for local search".
GPS is verified to work under device locations options and has been refreshed several times as suggested elsewhere in the forum. Furthermore, doing the 'refresh GPS' did finally kick start Flixster to recognize close enough my location - worth noting because prior to refresh GPS Flixster location service never found my GPS.
And, Google maps had no issue prior to me removing it from the 9780.
Please help resolve this problem.

Good troubleshooting done so far. Have you contacted tmobile or taken it to the store?
Has GPS ever worked correctly on your phone?

As noted in my post, the GPS worked fine with Google maps - no ussues. It's also currently working fine with Flixster.
The device GPS is obviosuly working as it also indicates a street address (close enough) in the options device locations area in the OS.
I was hoping to avoid Tmobile's support options. There often not so helpful and very annoying in their own right. Not to mention, they're as often wrong as right and have successfully screwed up my phones in the past.

Interesting because I don't know if your gps is using the mobile network to get a fix on your location or if you're able to communicate with a GPS satelitte. I know google maps uses mobile triangulation if it can't find a gps satelitte. Not sure about Flixter though. Have you tried the poynt app to troubleshoot? it will tell you if its using GPS from a satelitte or mobile cell location to find your position. I am not sure why your phone cannot find a GPS satelitte. ![]()
Tmobile will know more about this than me
