Hi,
If anybody can help will be really grateful. Currently my mobile is working as a normal NOKIA !!
I have a data package on my carrier but my Blackberry 9700 doesn't read it. I changed the sim and inserted it into another mobile and it works instantly so first of all its got nothing to do with my carrier.
Secondly, I erased my BB to the factory settings , have re-installed my software but still the data package doesn't work
All other functions of the phone including wifi are perfectly fine. Have done a software upload, download, All that happened was I received a message of some JVM and the mobile restarted and after nothing has working, Can anybody kindly assist?

When you put the sim into the other phone to test, was that phone a blackberry?

Have you tried registering the host routing table?
Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > Host Routing Table > press Menu key > click Register now.
Also ask your carrier to resend your service books to that device.
Here is a link if you want to do it yourself

Can you take the device to the carrier so they can work on this directly? I am not sure why its not working after everything you tried.

:-( They say as this is not under warranty they cannot do anything about it. I am ready to pay them but they are unwilling to take.
Here in the UAE, only those devices that are provided by the carriers are guaranteed and taken care of. My mobile has become a waste ![]()

I'd suggest that you get a SIM card swap from your mobile operator.
Even if this one works in another Blackberry... get a swap anyway. I've seen that fix a lot of ood glitches with BIS services not working.
