Hello,

I have the same problem, the phone ring only once when it's in holster.

I just read few messages in this forum where people have the same problem.

Hi BB users, Just realised that I have the same problem with my Bold 9700. It will just ring once and silent until the mail box message kicks in. I was asked to get a longer ring tone ... but that should not be a long term solution. A repeat of the ring tone should be available. Anyone have any other ways of increasing the ring times? thanks. I'm having the same problem,

I've had to use a different ringtone that does repeat . . . BBPro_VintageAlarm, that one repeats

I have my phone in the holster all day to protect it from the dangers of a hard day's work, I ended up missing important calls, so I had to do something!

Probably not the best fix, so I'll keep my eye on here for a better solution.

I would have expected a way of customising the functions in and out of the holster, but it looks like it's just not happening!

I've just fixed my Bold that has the same problem

I appears to be due to the replay status of the particular ringtone.

FInd the ringtone amonst the media & just play it. If it plays just once then that's what you'll hear on an incoming call. Now use the menu in the media player & set it to "repeat".

I have a Bold 9700...

v5.0.0.351 (platform 5.1.0.98).... you can find this in the "about option..." of your phone.

I had the same problem: a one-ring phone.

I found this setting in my phone (in the sounds and melodies options)

vibration: personalized

duration: short

recount: 3

vibration: always

vibration with melody: active

with this particular setting the phone only rings once.

I changed and tested one by one all settings and only when changing recount to any other number different from 3, made the phone ring normally (several times as long as the call kept coming).

I think this is a bug in the phone...

Just changed the recount to 2, and the phone is finally ringing more than once, (in the holster or out of the holster depending of the settings)

Change your Vibration count to 1 (or 2).

This will make your phone vibrate the 1st time along with the 1st ringtone. Then the 2nd vibration will take place (if set to 2). Then the entire process will repeat it self (including ringing again).

Give it a try.
